Thank you for 50,000 pageviews! Our color-code has changed slightly, and the key is on the sidebar of the blog. One of the changes I made is a new color, teal. I really like this new addition and I think it definitely differentiates my liking all of the songs I usually put in green. I have also changed my grading system slightly, so that some songs that were once a 9 could now be a 7.5 or so.

Our "song of the summer" has finally been dethroned, at least on this chart. However, it doesn't affect the Hot 100.

Down is now officially a flop. It looks like after Work From Home, their singles got less and less popular.

Two great songs that go by the names of Get Low and Sorry Not Sorry were back-to-back last week and this week. Fortunately, they are rising, so keep doing that!

It's great to see Wild Thoughts in the top 5. Could it be #1 here?

I think at this point, Attention will be a future #1. Not exactly sure about Believer though.

My mom recently said that Despacito might be her least favorite song of all time. I've heard her complain about it (a lot) but I don't know if she is ready to declare that just yet.

And finally we get a new #1. It deserved that spot, as it's a pretty good song and one of Shawn's best.

Blurb My Heart

I want to talk about two things this week. First is that you might be noticing a change in many songs' colors. The reason why this is happening is because I am testing a new personal chart style, so some songs that I really like can be higher on the chart faster. The chart will not be in effect this week, but maybe in 3 weeks. No joke, it is actually a top 100 chart, and I guess it takes more time :/ but I could work on it throughout the week.

The second thing I want to talk about is the song Bad Liar. It is in blue now, and it is for a reason. You all will hate me when I say this because this is one of the rare cases in which I say this, but I think the song is kinda...annoying. Her voice is just too high throughout the song. I think there's more that makes it slightly annoying, but it's also a little catchy and that's why it's not in red.

I'm too lazy to talk about stuff, so there will only be a couple more blurbs.

I've noticed that Play That Song has been hanging around the #17-#23 range lately. Honestly, it feels like it'll never leave that range, except for last week, which I missed. Way to get people mad, Hits 1.

As you all noticed, Weak jumped into the top 10 this week. The Hits 1 crew are definitely AJR stans (as well as many other people and bands), so it's not surprising. And I'm saying that because it's only the 39th most played song on pop radio right now. I'm definitely happy about it. But what's cool to me about this being in the top 10 is that I knew this song the entire time, before you all. READ HERE!
