My mom has a love-hate relationship with the lone entrant, Side to Side. She can't stop singing it but she doesn't really like it. For me, it's a great song. I grew out of it a tiny bit, though.

I Give Zero Blurbs and I Got Zero Chill in Me

I am not okay with Chase You Down and My Way flopping, especially the latter. I'm hoping Chase You Down pulls a Fresh Eyes, but My Way should just be up higher. And speaking of Fresh Eyes, it should be up a little higher on the countdown.

I'm a little surprised that Mama Said is staying this long. A song that peaks at #18 doesn't usually stay for this long, I don't think.

Stressed Out is so old it's crazy. In fact, it turned 1 and a half years old (18 months) this week. I feel like it left every single chart like three months ago.

The oldest song on the countdown is next to the newest song on the countdown.

Very interesting to see This is What You Came For jump 6 to #4, then drop to #26 two weeks later.

I sometimes think that Can't Stop the Feeling is catchy, but it's sometimes old and overplayed. The Halloween dance grew me into it a little. But I hope that the Trolls movie will not get it back in the top 10.

This Town is growing on me.

I feel like Closer is going to be one of those songs that stays with me until the end. It's pretty high on #40Friday right now, so I don't think it will leave in a while.

Chase You Down is a nice song. If you look up Runaground on Spotify, you'll see that he does covers of popular songs like Send My Love (To Your New Lover) and Let Me Love You. Hopefully we'll hear more from him.

Next, The Greatest. Quite a fun song that's been in the teens on #40Friday a lot. Good luck to you on the countdown. Also, Sia released the deluxe version of This is Acting yesterday.

The next debut is one of two debuts in the top 20, which is rare. I like how Alessia Cara is just one of those singers who doesn't sing about *** (I'm not going to say it), even though I do like songs about that. Her songs are pretty good. Scars to Your Beautiful doesn't hit the height of Wild Things or Here, but it's pretty good.

Finally, Maroon 5's comeback single, Don't Wanna Know. It's not amazing, not top 10 worthy, but it's good. I would like other singles like Animals or Maps or Sugar on their next album, which my mom agrees with. She actually said that she likes when Adam gets angry in his songs (no joke!)

Blurbing You Down

Completely unexpected and disappointing exit from The Little Things this week. I'm not happy about this. Re-entry soon?

Fresh Eyes has spent three weeks on the chart and it hasn't made top 30 yet. Also very disappointing.

I'm officially going to call Perfect Illusion a flop. How did it even become a flop anyway? Was it her voice?

About time Cake By the Ocean and Victorious left.

Victorious is our first DTHNOBx2 (or x3) since The Weeknd - In the Night when that left in June. But now, there are no re-entrants on this countdown.

Get My Way up higher!

Stressed Out won't give up without a fight! Could it still be here at the end of the year? More importantly, will it be #1 of the year?

Huh, Starboy is dropping and it's #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 right now. So it should be jumping, even though I'm losing interest in it.

Don't Wanna Know is the highest debut of the year, with Scars to Your Beautiful tied for second.

Four debuts to go through this week. I'll start with the worst, John Legend - Love Me Now. I thought I could handle this song but I just can't. It's better than All of Me, but it's not good. I'd rate it a 2/10.

Then comes She Sets the City on Fire. Sure, I like it.

Fifth Harmony released the very catchy That's My Girl recently. I hope it does well on the countdown.

Believe it or not, Love on the Brain is the best debut. This type of slow song is pretty soothing to me. It definitely should debut the countdown.

Red Dress has now been on Hit-Bound for 4 months. AJR - Infinity was on Hit-Bound for almost 6 months and it still debuted the countdown. I doubt Red Dress will pull an Infinity, but maybe it will stay for 6 months and not debut the countdown.

I think Bacon will unfortunately pull a Katy Perry - Rise, meaning that a song debuts while flopping on the radio charts and leaves a few weeks later. But it is very catchy and it hit #1 on #40Friday.

24K Magic is a nice comeback from Bruno Mars. It's addicting!

The entire bottom 5 this week are made up of songs that were not in last week's bottom 5.

Starboy just reached the 100 million mark on Spotify in just over 3 weeks. Nice job, guys!

Speaking of Spotify, Drake/WizKid/Kyla - One Dance is so close to breaking the record for most plays. The current record holder is Major Lazer/DJ Snake/MØ - Lean On, with 873 million plays. They are separated by just 500,000 plays.
