Posted: June 26, 2018

Credits for countdown go to Adrian.

What's up!!! This is my first Weekend Countdown post since June 10, 2017. I may get some WC posts out over the summer but not every week. I would've done last week which was really interesting, but of course I was too lazy to finish. Here are our exits this week:

Hit-Bound

  • Cardi B – I Like It
  • MNEK/Hailee Steinfeld – Colour
  • Fall Out Boy – The Last Of The Real Ones
  • Sugarland/Taylor Swift – Babe
  • Backstreet Boys – Don't Go Breaking My Heart
  • lovelytheband – Broken
  • Panic! At The Disco – High Hopes
  • Dennis Lloyd – Nevermind
  • Julia Michaels/Trippie Redd – Jump (DEBUT)
  • Meghan Trainor – Let You Be Right
  • In Real Life – Tattoo (How 'Bout You)
  • The Wrecks – James Dean
  • HRVY – Personal
  • Big Boi – All Night
  • Cole Redding – Father Father

Jump is a surprisingly great song. It's either this or Issues as my favorite song from her.

We got another great song from Meghan Trainor! Let You Be Right is perfect for the summertime and I'm hoping she can actually get another big hit with this. I doubt it, though.

I don't really like James Dean, as in the song obviously. I think it's way too active rock for me and it doesn't really belong here.

I don't know how Father Father was able to survive a second week on Hit-Bound. I thought it was just for Father's Day. Well hopefully it leaves next week.

We got 6 different colors in a row on this list. It would've been 7 had All Night was originally in green.

Top 5 Hit-Bound Picks
1. Meghan Trainor – Let You Be Right
2. Cardi B – I Like It
3. Julia Michaels/Trippie Redd – Jump
4. Backstreet Boys – Don't Go Breaking My Heart
5. Dennis Lloyd – Nevermind

One Blurb is All it Takes
Okay, let's go straight through the countdown.

I don't know how How Long is still here. It's a great song, but I'm surprised it's stayed this long.

Too Good is probably my favorite unknown Hits 1 song this year. I most likely would have ranked it Top 10 on the rankdown I'm currently revealing here.

Perfect still remains my least favorite pop song of 2018. Nothing new.

I don't even think I've heard that U2 song in full. It's nothing memorable to me.

How is One Foot still in the middle of the countdown?!? What is this, the Stressed Out of 2018? It's like, an ancient song by now. But still really good.

One Kiss is the song of the summer. Enough said.

Great jump for Youngblood this week! I'm going to listen to their album today to see how it is. They've impressed me with their first two singles from this year already. Could this be their first Top 10 on the Pop radio charts and the Hot 100???

I Wanna Know jumped into the Top 10 this week. The song really doesn't interest me that much. The first time I heard the song I could clearly hear similarities to Run Away With Me by Carly Rae Jepsen, but that's all.

Psycho made a big jump this week from #30 to the Top 10. Maybe because it just hit #1 on the Hot 100 or on Pop? Don't know for sure.

I think we need a new #1 soon. Hopefully a great song is next, with Delicate being the most likely.

June 11, 2018 - PRC and Hot 100 Top 10

Posted: June 11, 2018

Hey guys! I haven't gotten a post out in a while, so I figured I would do a short post today. This is on the upcoming Hot 100 and today's pop radio chart.

I decided from now on, red would be a bad song, blue would be a mediocre/okay/decent song, green would be a good song, and pink would be a great song. Except this time I will color the songs the way others probably do it; red is "not wanting to be a hit", blue is "don't care if it becomes a hit", and green is "would like to become a hit". In this post, purple is the best in the Top 10 only. So here we go. I'm not gonna give a review for each one because of how incredibly undetailed I can get with that.

(Also, don't correct me on each "ft." if I am wrong about it, I can't memorize that for every single song)
(Orange = Slightly old, as I have used this color for that before)
