So I think Hits 1 just picks up on the songs they like first, then in the middle of the week they check how it is doing on radio and if it's flopping, they just have it drop on the countdown or even leave. Can't they just look to see if the song is flopping before and if it is, not pick up on it?

So yeah, with the songs not or hardly even on the radio charts, we have two songs on the WC for three weeks with peaks of only #37 and #38...

4 of the 5 debuts dropped or left this week. Thank goodness Swalla survived this.

It's unfortunate to see All Night drop. That was a nice song.

I think this might be the end for Play That Song.

How is Mercy back in the top 20? I thought this was over.

After being at #20 for three consecutive weeks, Attention is now in the top 10. I didn't expect it so quickly, but thank you Hits 1 anyway!

First up is a song that is currently flopping. It's called Still Got Time, and I love it. In fact, I think I'm one of the only ones here who loves it. It's just way too catchy and it has that great summery vibe to it. Both artists do a great job, and honestly I love the production. I know it won't do well here, but at least it's top 45.

Next debut is also a song that's flopping. Good Life is on the soundtrack to The Fate of the Furious, if you didn't know. Like the last debut, both artists do a great job. The chorus is fun. While it's not the best debut, I still like it. I wish it would have done a little better though.

Finally, Swalla is here! This is the best debut this week. Once again, it's catchy. The chorus is also fun. And all of the artists do a great job too. I still don't know if this is flopping or not on radio, but I'm at least hoping it does well here.

Omg another great debut!!! I think that Kissing Strangers has to be DNCE's best song. Once again, I love the chorus. The verses are great too. I also don't know if it's flopping or not on radio, but again, this must do well here because I'm really enjoying it.

Wow, I don't think Hits 1 knows which songs are flopping on radio or not. Yes, this is the third debut here that's flopping. I do like Hailee's chorus, and it actually reminds me of See You Again from 2015. But there's not much more to say about this. This song is called At My Best by the way.

Not posting this week. Stay Together is the only Hit-Bound song on #50Friday, and I don't want to spoil any upcoming debuts. I'm hoping this doesn't continue for a while.

Still Got Blurbs
I did not expect to see 5 exits this week. First, I'm surprised Cake left this early. However, it wasn't really for Hits 1, since it was really a rap song. Finally, All Time Low leaves. I still like 24K Magic, and Scott is not going to be happy to see it go. It's rare to see a song leave with a peak of #35 here, but that's what Don't Leave had to do. At least it wasn't a good song. And finally, poor WAMB10 because Side to Side left. I find it interesting that I put it in blue for the last 5 months or so.

Is Sooner or Later going to leave or what? It shouldn't be flopping already.

So my favorite debut last week only had to jump just one spot? Wow Hits 1...

You know, I was wondering earlier if this would be the week where Closer took a big drop. Turns out, I was right.

Cold is officially a mediocre song. I really liked it at first but a couple of weeks later I started to grow out of it. But now it is officially in blue.

So Mercy dropped from #6 to #26. Well, about time. That was long-awaited.

Good to see I'm the One jump a lot on its second week. I think it's already in the top 10 on pop radio.

Attention has held its spot at #20 for the third straight week. Please don't tell me that means it will flop. I am really enjoying this, so it should at least be top 15 here.

I'm happy about our biggest jump, which I am starting to like a little more. Halsey and Lady Gaga's jumps were also needed.

So Believer is in the top 5. That's nice.

Something Just Like This hit #1 on the pop radio charts this week, which makes me think that it'll be #1 here soon. In fact, I feel that it's the type of song Hits 1 usually has at #1.

So happy to see this first one debut. American Girls is what I would call a perfect example of a rock song. The verses and chorus are great. I hope to see this do well here, although it left Hit-Bound and still debuted.

Like American Girls, Sooner or Later was also a Hit-Bound dropout. The verses are catchy, but that's really the only highlight of the song. The chorus and other parts are good but nothing amazing.

I haven't heard this one in a few days, but now it sounds really catchy. This one is called I'm the One, and it debuted at #1 on the Hot 100 this week, so it'll definitely be a summer hit. The problem with the Hits 1 version is that it's way too short. They should add one of the other two rappers originally in this song. So overall, I like this and I'm happy it's getting popularity.

Slow Hands is better than This Town. It's more upbeat and fun, but it's calming at the same time. I do like that too. So, if this did well here I'd be fine.

Hmm. I think I'll create a new rule. If a song leaves Hit-Bound or debuts the countdown, I'll review it. If a song debuts Hit-Bound, I won't review it then. But I think I already reviewed Good Life. Not happy to see that one go.

Not trying to prank anyone, but according to DSR, Green Light (Lorde) played before Hit-Bound's midnight airing, and it played again a couple of hours later. I'd really be surprised if it debuted though because it started to flop a long time ago.

American Blurbs

Don't Leave and Lights Down Low are probably going to flop. For Don't Leave, that's embarrassing as it only has a peak of #35.

Sign of the Times made an unexpected jump this week. Oh well, I guess I'm fine with it, but it still wasn't surprising.

Nice to see Now or Never jump. I hope to see this in the top 20 soon.

Hopefully this is the last time Closer leaves the top 10. 39 weeks on the chart and just leaving the top 10...wow.

As for one of the other top 10 dropouts, I'm happy to see it out of there. I'm hoping Hits 1 doesn't notice it's in the top 10 of the pop radio charts...

After many weeks on the countdown, Issues is finally in the top 10 here. When this song first came out, I didn't think it would be this popular. But apparently it was, and that was a good thing. Keep jumping.

And there, L.A. Devotee is in the top 10. Literally every song from their album went top 10 on Hits 1.
