New Entrant
I've loved Rockabye for quite a while now, and I never thought it would get this popular. By that I mean it's currently #8 on the radio charts. It is a single mother anthem, a great thing. Anne-Marie's verses are really good as well as the drop.

Hit-Bound
  • Ariana Grande/Future - Everyday
  • One Ok Rock - American Girls
  • The Vamps/Matoma - All Night
  • Jason Derulo/Nicki Minaj/Ty Dolla $ign - Swalla
  • The Chainsmokers/Coldplay - Something Just Like This
  • Coin - Talk Too Much
  • Little Mix - Touch
  • Calvin Harris/Frank Ocean/Migos - Slide
  • Snakehips/MØ - Don't Leave
  • Erin Bowman - Good Time Good Life (DEBUT)
  • Lorde - Green Light
  • MAX/Gnash - Lights Down Low
  • Ocean Park Standoff - Good News
  • Flo Rida/99 Percent - Cake
Good Time Good Life is pretty good even if it's by an unpopular artist. It's fun if you ask me.

Top 5 Picks
5. Lorde - Green Light
4. Coin - Talk Too Much
3. Little Mix - Touch
2. One Ok Rock - American Girls
1. Jason Derulo/Nicki Minaj/Ty Dolla $ign - Swalla

Rockablurb
Let me get this straight, since Shape of You and Castle on the Hill were released at the same time and Shape of You got much more radio popularity, then shouldn't Castle on the Hill be treated like a promotional single? If so, why is a "promotional single" almost in the top 5, I wish New Man was replacing this!

Something is telling me that HandClap is somehow going to hit #1 soon, I don't know why.

I'm fine with Love Me Now leaving. It was never really good anyway.

I did grow into Let Me Love You a little. I can't consider it a bad song.

Why are Make Me (Cry) and Miss You dropping??? This isn't even funny, Hits 1. You put these artists on your channel, now you need to get these songs to do well.

At least L.A. Devotee isn't jumping too much. Taking a break from emo, I see?

Why is Treat You Better higher up than Heavydirtysoul? The former is an old teen pop song that many of us do not like anymore, and the latter is a really cool and underrated alternative song.

So Love on the Brain actually took a jump. I'm fine with that.

How is I Feel it Coming not in the top 20?!?! Stop underrating these great songs! Plus, it's popular too.

How in the world is Heathens back in the top 20? This isn't popular anymore.

I'm really glad to see Stay doing well here. I have a good feeling this will hit top 10.

I would not have expected Heavy to jump to the top 10 so quickly. That's definitely a great thing though.

That's What I Like dropped out of the top 5, but it's still in the top 10. I'm not surprised though since it's one of the biggest songs in America.

I'm shocked to see Starving in the top 5 again. I'm okay with it back up there but it definitely should go back to the 20s again soon.

Closer should at least be out of the top 5 by now, and out of the top 10 in a couple of weeks.

I'm also shocked to see Bad Things hitting a new peak. I thought this would just keep going down the countdown but definitely happy with it here. I'd actually like to see it hit #1 because we've had the same #1 for 7 weeks in a row, even though I love that song more.

Top 5 Picks
5. Twenty One Pilots - Heavydirtysoul
4. Clean Bandit/Sean Paul/Anne-Marie - Rockabye
3. Bebe Rexha - I Got You
2. Noah Cyrus/Labrinth - Make Me (Cry)
1. Ed Sheeran - Shape of You

Most Missed Song/Hit-Bound Dropout: Troye Sivan/Alessia Cara - Wild

#1 Recommendation for Hits 1: Sabrina Carpenter - Thumbs, Marian Hill - Down, Jax Jones/Raye - You Don't Know Me, how 'bout dat Hits 1?

1st Amendment to .'s Blog Rules
I would like to "amend" my commenting rules. I have two things to change:
  • No "#team_____" or "#teamno_____"
  • When introducing a person to the blog, do not say your username, as everyone can see it when you post a comment.
Guess the song!
I haven't done this in two weeks. I've been thinking about it this week, so I'm going to do two songs today instead of one.

Song A:

  • On the WC, I dropped at least 15 spots, twice, from the same position, but on different weeks. [1. What position did I drop from?]
  • I debuted on the same week as a song that hit #1, which was purple for Adrian sometime in its tenure. [2. What song?]
  • When I debuted, Walk the Moon - Shut Up and Dance was in green for Adrian. [3. What color was SUAD on the same week for Jack? You must use his color code.]
  • [4. What song am I? Comment if you need another hint.]
Song B:

  • I was never on the WC or Hit-Bound. [No question]
  • I peaked in the top 5 on the Hot 100, but I am not currently on that chart. [1. What week did I leave the Hot 100? Your answer must be the way how Billboard dates the charts.]
  • I peaked in the top 15 on #40Friday, but not the top 10. [2. What spot did I peak at?]
  • [3. What song am I? Comment if you need another hint.]

Album Review: Ed Sheeran - ÷

Image result for divide ed sheeran

So I'm going to try my first album review. I'll usually do album reviews for very popular artists or artists that I like. This one will be Ed Sheeran's new album. I apologize for the short summaries, I am not good at English. :P Any comment criticizing that will be removed.

Track 1: Eraser
With rap verses unlike any other rap song out there today and an upbeat chorus, this song proves that this is the type of music that Sheeran should be making in the future. The production, I'm pretty sure that's what it's called, is really well-done here.

Rating: 9/10

Track 2: Castle on the Hill
The production in the very beginning of the song is kinda generic, but I don't like the melancholiness to the song, as in the lyrics:

"One friend left to sell clothes
One works down by the coast
One had two kids but lives alone
One's brother overdosed
One's already on his second wife
One's just barely getting by
But these people raised me and I can't wait to go home"

Rating: 6/10

Track 3: Dive
This is pretty slow, but fine. The "shouting" in the pre-chorus and chorus is unnecessary. The verses and bridge are superior against the two song parts mentioned above. This is good but nothing amazing.

Rating: 8/10

Track 4: Shape of You
Here it is, the best song on the album. But what I'm imagining now is: what would everyone have thought of this if it weren't released before the album came out? I bet I'd still like it. The thing in the beginning instantly reminded me of Cheap Thrills. To be honest, I like the "Oh I" parts and the production during that part. The "Come on, be my baby" part is pretty good too. The song doesn't have as good a meaning as Castle on the Hill but that doesn't mean I like it less.

Rating: 10/10

Track 5: Perfect
Recently, I started doing reactions (first listen) to new music. Since this was doing well on iTunes and YouTube, I decided to do a video on it. However, it turned out to be boring. Some of it was alright but most of it was bad. If it gets released as a single, it will kind of be like Thinking Out Loud 2.0, except I don't like it this time.

Rating: 3/10

Track 6: Galway Girl
This has a cool beat. The chorus is quite catchy. I like the verses too and that somewhat sounds like Don't. Also, Galway is apparently a city in Ireland. Besides the three songs released before the album, this is the most played song on the album on Spotify as of March 7.

Rating: 8/10

Track 7: Happier
This isn't necessarily a highlight off the album but it isn't bad. It's slow but fine in some parts.

Rating: 7/10

Track 8: New Man
This is so single potential. If so, it will be the better version of Don't. I like the chorus a lot...

"I don't wanna know about your new man, cause if it was meant to be
You wouldn't be calling me up trying to
Cause I'm positive that he don't wanna know about me"

Rating: 8.5/10

Track 9: Hearts Don't Break Around Here
Read track #7.

Rating: 6.5/10

Track 10: What Do I Know
I like the beat in the chorus. If only this had better and less boring production this would be great.

Rating: 8/10

Track 11:
How Would You Feel (Paean)

This one isn't that awesome. It's quite slow, but I can take it.

Rating: 6/10

Track 12: Supermarket Flowers
There is absolutely NOTHING to this song. It can't get any more boring!

EDIT: Graham is saying that this is a tribute to Ed's deceased grandma. R.I.P. I'm going to add a half-point to the rating because of that.

Rating: 2.5/10

Track 13:
Barcelona

This is more fast-paced than the boring song above. The production is good in the catchy chorus. It got me moving! I think this may possibly be a single, and I'll definitely be happy if it will be.

Rating: 8.5/10

Track 14:
Bibia Be Ye Ye

At first I thought this is a weird title. But it's fast-paced with a nice beat. I still don't understand the title though. What does it mean? There's not much else to say about it.

Rating: 8.5/10

Track 15: Nancy Mulligan
I like it. It's fast-paced, telling about his life with his "wife" (not yet). For some reason I like how he mentions his name in the song. I like the Irish folk music in the pre-bridge, like in Galway Girl. In fact, it's Irish-based in the entire song.

Rating: 8.5/10

Track 16:
Save Myself

For the last track on the full album, it isn't that amazing. It's alright.

Rating: 6/10

Overall Album Rating: 7.1/10 (Good, 4/5 stars)

Top 5 Picks
5. Nancy Mulligan
4. Bibia Be Ye Ye
3. New Man
2. Eraser
1. Shape of You

New Entrants
*rant* I'm so tired of P!ATD. Like seriously. The Death of a Bachelor album is over. Done. Not popular. I swear, in the course of the next three years, the rest of the album (besides the two best off the album, Hallelujah and Emperor's New Clothes) will be on Hits 1 at some point. And if you didn't know, P!ATD is one of my mom's least favorite artists, with Death of a Bachelor being her worst song of 2016. L.A. Devotee is kinda good but nothing amazing and it's not gonna grow on me anymore.

Believer is pretty catchy. It's been doing well on iTunes and I hope to see it do well here and on mainstream radio.

Hit-Bound

  • Snakehips/MØ - Don't Leave
  • MAX/Gnash - Lights Down Low
  • Calvin Harris/Frank Ocean/Migos - Slide
  • Lorde - Green Light (DEBUT)
  • The Chainsmokers/Coldplay - Something Just Like This
  • Ocean Park Standoff - Good News (DEBUT)
  • Little Mix - Touch
  • Flo Rida/99 Percent - Cake
  • Clean Bandit/Sean Paul/Anne-Marie - Rockabye
  • The Vamps/Matoma - All Night
  • Ariana Grande/Future - Everyday
  • Coin - Talk Too Much
  • One Ok Rock - American Girls
  • Jason Derulo/Nicki Minaj/Ty Dolla $ign - Swalla
Green Light is pretty good for a comeback single. I'm kinda surprised that Hits 1 didn't bring it to Hit-Bound earlier though.

Good News is some good news, it's not as good as Green Light but I like it.

I just realized that this is the seventh week in a row that Don't Leave and Lights Down Low are next to each other. I would like the latter off here, and the former I suggest should leave...*speaks to Snakehips* No, I said "leave" not "don't leave". :)

I have slightly grown into Something Just Like This a little more.

Top 5 Picks
5. Little Mix - Touch
4. One Ok Rock - American Girls
3. Flo Rida/99 Percent - Cake
2. Jason Derulo/Nicki Minaj/Ty Dolla $ign - Swalla
1. Clean Bandit/Sean Paul/Anne-Marie - Rockabye

First Blurbs First
For this week's blurb section, I will be splitting it up into three sections: Cons, Neutral, and Pros.

Cons
Both of our exits will be missed by me.

Why did I Got You fall?!? This isn't fair to me!

Heavy is seriously back to its debut spot? Come on, this doesn't deserve to flop.

Speaking of "Heavy", Heavydirtysoul also dropped quite a few spots, which is not okay with me. I'm shocked Hits 1 is just now underrating Twenty One Pilots music, besides the song it had on the countdown in 2013.

Make Me (Cry) needs to jump! Really underrated...

No! Let Me Love You should not have jumped 17 spots in 2 weeks! I was actually going to change its color to yellow but it doesn't matter now.

Death of a Bachelor should not still be jumping.

Hits 1, don't let Weak flop...

While I Feel it Coming keeps dropping on this chart, it is nearing the top 10 on mine. That totally is not a good thing.

Great, HandClap is out of the top 5.

Are you kidding me Hits 1? 25 SPOTS is what my least favorite song had to jump this week? Please, please, please don't let this be a hit elsewhere, or else this will be the 7 Years of 2017.

As much as it is flopping on my chart, Chained to the Rhythm needs to get back up.

Seriously, Closer at #2? Hits 1, you should realize that it's March, not September.

Neutral
So Side to Side fell to the bottom 10. Alright with me.

L.A. Devotee debuted, that's not too awesome.

Yep, Love on the Brain is still going to flop here. It's going to turn around on the radio charts soon anyway.

Scars to Your Beautiful is back in the top 25? That's kinda odd.

I don't want Castle on the Hill to be as big of a hit as Shape of You. Well, I know it won't, but just don't hit the top 10.

I don't care about Paris jumping.

I'm fine with Mercy dropping, it's starting to get old.

Pros
Believer debuting is a good thing. I believe this is going to impact radio on April 11, I think.

I'm fine with Starving and Heathens dropping. They were old anyway.

I'm happy that Miss You had a nice second-week jump. It totally deserved that.

At least Issues got back up into the top 20.

I didn't expect Just Hold On to fall this much, but I'll take it.

Stay needs to keep jumping.

Okay, so maybe Bad Things is not done yet. That's good.

Thank goodness for #5, we needed that!

I did not expect Cold to jump this much this week. That was shocking, but I will take it.

Yay for Shape of You holding at #1! Keep going.

There are new records for biggest jump and drop of 2017, and the record for biggest combined biggest movers since before 2016.

5. Fitz and the Tantrums - HandClap
4. Machine Gun Kelly/Camila Cabello - Bad Things

Before I go, I would like to address some comment section issues. I have decided this week that I will not anymore interfere with any irrelevant, untruthful, and rude blog comments on any blog, as it is for the better. If posted on my blog, those three types of comments will be removed, no matter who you are. Innocent comments like "Nice post!" will not be removed anymore. Comments about exits or past countdowns will also not be removed.
