Taylor Swift (1) - May 28, 2016

I got really confused because the countdown started playing at 1:00am instead of 6:00am. Two exits this week. I would really appreciate it if there were a 5+ exit week soon, and that's not happened this year...so far...

Biggest Jump: Tie between The Summer Set - Figure Me Out, X Ambassadors - Unsteady, and Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop the Feeling (+14)

Entering:
Timeflies - Once in a While: Good, but will turn to orange soon. It's a little old.
I think they had another song on the countdown in 2014 that lasted only two weeks. Let's make this one last more than two weeks.
Calvin Harris/Rihanna - This is What You Came For: Good!

Comments:
This countdown is starting to look like a regular top 40/45 countdown as songs like One Direction - Perfect, DNCE - Cake by the Ocean, Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out, and more are dropping and Taylor Swift - New Romantics is the first #1 song to debut in 2016.

Okay. I'm positive that Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop the Feeling will hit #1 sometime soon.

Lukas Graham - 7 Years dropping 8 spots is the best thing to happen this week.

So, X Ambassadors - Unsteady got past #22. Good job proving me wrong.

Biggest Drop: Meghan Trainor - No (-16)
Biggest Jump: Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop the Feeling (+12)

Entrants:

The Summer Set - Figure Me Out is a good song and I'm happy it made the countdown.

Jason Derulo - If it Ain't Love is very good. It's not like Get Ugly.

The record for highest debut this year has been broken. The Chainsmokers/Daya - Don't Let Me Down has debuted at #19. It's still a pretty good song. I first heard this three months ago and I loved it. It's still good. Nice job.

Comments:

I have no idea how Gwen Stefani - Make Me Like You jumped. That song got no airplay this week.

The Weeknd - In the Night needs to leave again.

The drop from Daya - Sit Still, Look Pretty was unexpected. Second-week drops aren't good.

Zara Larsson/MNEK - Never Forget You jumped again! YAY!

I bet that Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop the Feeling will be #1 sometime. I hope so.

Why did Selena Gomez - Hands to Myself and Zayn - Pillowtalk jump? Unfair.

Meghan Trainor - Me Too, Adele - Send My Love (To Your New Lover), and Symon - Say should debut the countdown soon. They're pretty good.

Lukas Graham - 7 Years still has the potential to hit #1. It's #1 on the radio charts. This song just needs to leave the top 10 and the countdown. It's that bad. But don't worry, Lukas Graham. I like your other song called Mama Said.

I have a feeling that Troye Sivan - Youth could hit #1 soon. I hope so too.

I am so sick of Flo Rida - My House.

Hopefully DNCE - Cake By the Ocean and Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out are done being #1. For good.

Well, Panic! at the Disco - Victorious is... victorious. I didn't think it could ever be #1. I'm happy about this, but I would like it to start moving down soon.

My top 5:
5. Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop the Feeling
4. The Chainsmokers/Daya - Don't Let Me Down
3. Zara Larsson/MNEK - Never Forget You
2. Jason Derulo - If it Ain't Love
1. Meghan Trainor - No

4. Meghan Trainor - No (#3)
3. Panic! at the Disco - Victorious (#8)
2. Flo Rida - My House (#4)
1. DNCE - Cake by the Ocean (#1)

Biggest Drop: Gwen Stefani - Make Me Like You (-25)
Biggest Jump: Tie between Grace - You Don't Own Me and Selena Gomez - Hands to Myself (+13)

Entrants:
The Weeknd - In the Night's re-entry was kind of unnecessary. Leave next week, please.

I love Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop the Feeling! I hope it does well.

I think I've known Daya - Sit Still, Look Pretty for a couple of months now. It's still good though.

Comments:
R.I.P. Ellie Goulding - On My Mind.

Two records (for this year) were tied this week. The first was from Gwen Stefani - Make Me Like You. When The Chainsmokers/Rozes - Roses dropped 8 spots, I thought it would drop 30 spots. But I predicted that Make Me Like You would drop 25...and somehow it did.

The other was from the new Daya - Sit Still, Look Pretty. It would have been better if it debuted at #20 or higher so it would break Dawin - Dessert's record. Same with Gwen Stefani - Make Me Like You. It should have dropped 26 spots to break the record...wait...but I like that song!

Oh my gosh, can One Direction's Drag Me Down and Perfect leave? Drag Me Down can leave next week, but maybe Perfect can leave in two weeks.

Justin Bieber - Sorry may be leaving us next week.

Selena Gomez - Same Old Love has now been in the 30s for THREE MONTHS. That's rare.

Demi Lovato - Confident dropped by 24. That's good.

Nick Jonas/Tove Lo - Close and Mike Posner/SeeB - I Took a Pill in Ibiza need to jump immediately.

I don't think X Ambassadors - Unsteady can get past #22. I also don't think Elle King - America's Sweetheart can get past #13.

I have a feeling that P!nk - Just Like Fire can be #1 in a month or two.

I'm happy that Lukas Graham - 7 Years is dropping, but I'm not happy that Meghan Trainor - No is dropping.

We need a new #1. It should be:
One Direction - History
James Bay - Let it Go
Taylor Swift - New Romantics
Troye Sivan - Youth
Meghan Trainor - No
Even Panic! at the Disco - Victorious would be a good #1. Just for one week though.

4. Flo Rida - My House (#3)
3. Meghan Trainor - No (#8)
2. Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out (#1)
1. DNCE - Cake by the Ocean (#2)

Biggest Drop: G-Eazy/Bebe Rexha - Me, Myself & I (-22)
Biggest Jump: Demi Lovato - Confident (+20)

Comments:

This week is the first week of the year where both the biggest drop/jump moved at least 20 spots.

It's sad that G-Eazy/Bebe Rexha - Me, Myself & I and Grace - You Don't Own Me will leave soon.

One song that has been in the 20s for a few weeks dropped to #38. Another song that has been in the 20s for a few weeks is still in the 20s. (It's #23.)

Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman is dropping when it should be jumping.

Charlie Puth - One Call Away, James Bay - Let it Go, One Direction - Perfect, and Demi Lovato - Confident made some comeback jumps. What's really strange is that Confident's jump got it in the top 10.

Taylor Swift - New Romantics finally made it to the top 10.

Lukas Graham - 7 Years is dropping and Meghan Trainor - No is jumping?!? Thank you!

DNCE - Cake by the Ocean made it to #1 again. I didn't think it would happen again. But I'm fine with that.

Instead of Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out or DNCE - Cake by the Ocean at #1, let's have Meghan Trainor - No at #1. Next week. And make that week a(n at least) 5-exit week.

March 2014/April 2014 throwback debuts:
Shakira/Rihanna - Can't Remember to Forget You (March 1, 2014)
Eminem/Nate Ruess - Headlights (March 1, 2014)
